The New Standard NYC is a New York–based performance platform dedicated to the creation of new choreography and original musical compositions. Founded by co-director & choreographer Juliette Rafael and co-director Mackenzie Surbey, the company brings dancers and composers into the room together from the very beginning, allowing movement and music to evolve side by side. Through world premieres and live performance, The New Standard NYC champions collaboration, artistic risk, and work rooted in the contemporary human experience.
